Natasha Howard, Ph.D

Dr. Howard is jointly appointed in Geography and Environmental Studies and Africana Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Thought and Sociocultural Studies and her Masters in Latin American Studies. Dr. Howard’s research centers on unveiling the structures of anti-black racism and the production of anti-black racial discourses in the Americas.

Research Interests: Black geographies, Black feminist and women of color geographies, critical race studies, urban geographies, critical discourse analysis, nature, race and the environment and race in Latin America.
